Day 04 (8-9-11)

Hello to all of our followers!  I’m glad you are all being entertained by this blog!!  🙂

I forgot something that happened yesterday.  Apparently Jon found and caught a mouse.  He then gave this mouse to Micah and told him to give it to me.  Well, the mouse started climbing up it’s tail and Micah thought it was going to bite him so he dropped it!  What kind of sawyers do we have here……at least it wasn’t a snake!!!  I HATE snakes.  I got to witness Micah trying to catch a mouse today.  I so wish I had my video camera running at the time.  It was funny.  Not quite as funny as Garrett was when trying to move the trip wire however!

We played “I have never” last night.  It started out with me, Micah, Ashley, Garrett and RJ.  Soon we got David to start playing and then Jocelyn, much to her dismay!  It is a pretty fun game.  However, I caution anyone who decides to play this game with football players!  They tackle for seats!  I have serious rug burns on my knee and I’m sure I sustained a few bruises.  The funniest thing was when the couch broke while playing.  We did fix the couch and are pretty sure it won’t ever break again.  We were playing this in the Lodge and after a little while of playing some of the guest joined in.  It was really fun.  The kids enjoyed it so much that we are playing it again tonight.  They are excited that Beth and Dave have committed to playing it with us when the rest of the guests leave.

I have to add that Beth commented that we are really easy to cook for!  I thought that was really nice.  I can guarantee that our youth and adults have never thrown any food away.  It is always so delicious!!!  🙂

We slowed it down a little bit today.  We finish two areas are are all working together in a manner of speaking.  The kids have never complained (knock on wood) and are all getting along fairly well.  We have all had one turn at doing the dishes.  I am included in that but have not made Dale or Jon do the dishes.  I’m sure they would if I asked them!

We had a tree go through the fence today.  It was pretty humerous when Dale yelled out “NO” really loud and then we heard the crash.  We cut two new rails and it was all good.  Like I said, Dave and Beth are easy going and AWESOME about everything.

Everyone is plotting and planning the next round of “torture” for David.  Poor guy!  He is enjoying it though.

Until tomorrow!  I’m sure they are going to come and drag me out any minute now!
